1. Development of a curriculum for Primary One and Two students

2. Conduct a training session for educators from selected primary school

3. Pilot-test the planned curriculum with a selected primary school for one school term

4. Expand the reach of the project to more primary schools in Singapore

5. Convince the Ministry of Education to incorporate the programme into the formal education curriculum for primary schools.

Timeline

• July – December 2014: develop the curriculum

• November 2014: start approaching schools to liaise on pilot-testing the programme

• End of December 2014: confirm pilot testing school

• January 2015 - June 2015: Pilot test the programme with one interested primary school, using the book ‘You Been to Ubin?’. Programme will last one school term for the primary school students, with once a week lessons or field trips.

• July 2015: Consolidate the results of the pilot test

• August 2015: Liaise with Ministry of Education to see if incorporation into curriculum is feasible
