GOALS

Project Goals

1. Develop a curriculum for Primary One and Two students to raise awareness on biodiversity and environmental conservation, based on the book “You Been to Ubin?”

2. Plan at least 2 outdoor lessons within the curriculum in regional parks near the primary school in order to incorporate hands-on and experiential learning

3. Convince the Ministry of Education to incorporate the lesson plans into the formal education curriculum for primary schools in Singapore

Target Audience

The main beneficiary of this project is the Primary One and Two students in Singapore. Through this programme, they will become more aware and knowledgeable about environmental issues, which is important for them as the world progresses into greater sustainability. With the younger generation being educated in environmental issues, the community will transit into one with a  more environmentally conscious mindset, and sustainability policies will see greater success and SIngapore can become more sustainable. This will benefit the community as a whole.

In order to achieve the success of this programme, partnership and cooperation from teachers and the Ministry of Education plays a pivotal role.
